touareg (TWAH-reg) - a nomadic people who travel the Sahara. Of Berber descent, they are also known as the 'Blue Men of the Sahara' in reference to the indigo robes they wear.
Toubkal (toob-KAL) - the highest mountain peak in North Africa located south of Marrakech in Morocco's Atlas Mountains, in a national park that bears its name - Berber, Arabic transliteration - translation relates to the meaning of words; transliteration relates to the translation of language sounds. From the verb transliterate; to change (transcribe) letters or characters into corresponding characters of another alphabet or language. The result is a transliteration.
trapunto (treh-POON-toh) - From the Italian for 'to embroider', a decorative topstitching technique, similar to quilting, used to bind two or more layers together, creating a raised pattern. - Italian tulul (too-LOOL) - tulip - Arabic (dialectic) Tunis (TOO-nis) - the largest and capitol city of Tunisia, located on the country's northern, Mediterranean coast, specifically the Gulf of Tunis.
